The Game

Collisions don't kill you. They shrink you. Your length is your health. Longer snakes tank more hits. Shorter snakes are faster and harder to corner. Hunting someone down means committing: staying longer than your target and pressuring them until there's nothing left. Simple to learn. Brutal to master. It's called the Shrink Mechanic, and it changes everything about how snake feels.

An ancient war between serpents. A living darkness feeding on the conflict. The classic snake game has a story to tell.

A massive story campaign follows a full roster of serpents across ten biomes that reshape the rules. Boss fights that unlock new playable characters. A mystery hides underneath it all, delivered through illustrated story scenes between levels.

Then there's the couch party mode, and this is where it gets loud. Up to 8 players on one screen. No split-screen boxes, no online-only workaround. Everyone joins in seconds, and matches are so addictive that playtesters flat-out refused to stop.

Campaign

Hundreds of levels across every protagonist arc, each following a different serpent with their own perspective on an ancient war between two factions: the Order, who seek unity, and the Fangs, who believe only separation and relentless growth brings survival. Between them, a living darkness called The Writhing tears through the world, and it's getting worse.

Each arc ends with a boss battle. Beat them and they join your roster with unique stats you can carry into every game mode. The story unfolds through illustrated dialogue scenes between levels, with a full written narrative spanning all arcs.

Biomes

Ten biomes rotate across the campaign, each changing how you play. Plains offer open ground and fair fights. Forests overflow with food but choke your sightlines, turning every corner into an ambush. Highlands and Rivers split the board with peaks and waterways that force tight decisions.

Badlands, Deserts, and Snowlands starve you out - every apple becomes a contested resource. Swamps poison the food supply, replacing most apples with hazards. Beaches hold The Writhing back entirely. Volcanoes are the opposite: permanent darkness, no safe ground, danger from the first second.

Characters

Every serpent has fixed stats for speed, acceleration, starting length, and growth rate. Tanks wall off entire sections of the board. Speed Demons close distance before you finish planning. Growers begin small but gain more length per meal, becoming massive threats if left unchecked.

Half the roster is yours from the start. The rest appear as bosses throughout the campaign. During boss fights, each boss wields a special ability: extra starting length, double speed, or levitation. Beat them and add them to your collection with stronger base stats as a reward for progression.

Computer opponents follow distinct behavioral patterns - some chase you down, some block your path, and others focus entirely on eating or wandering the board. What looks like chaos at first becomes a puzzle you can solve, and the solution changes depending on who shares the board.

Local Multiplayer

Up to 8 players sharing one screen. No cramped split-screen, no online-only workaround. A see-through shader keeps every snake visible no matter how tangled the action gets.

A single keyboard can split into up to 4 independent control zones (WASD, Arrows, IJKL, Numpad). Each gamepad can support up to 2 players using the left and right sticks. Mix whatever hardware you have. A full 8-player lobby can run on one keyboard and two controllers. Players join from a quick controls screen just by pressing up on their input. No configuration, no button mapping, everyone's in within seconds.

Four battle modes: Score Battle (race to target score), Timed Match (90 seconds, highest score wins), Snake Royale (last one alive), and Endless (solo highscore). Adjust speed, add CPU opponents with scalable difficulty, set teams or go free-for-all, crank food spawns to Foodpocalypse, and give everyone a custom nameplate. Your house, your rules.
